For Ashley Reisinger, it all started with a love of both science and stories. After graduating from the University of Alberta with Bachelor of Education in Chemistry and English minor, Ashley took her passion for reading and writing and turned it into a career. She began her journey at Triada as an intern before having the opportunity to join the team as an Assistant Literary Agent. Her favorite part of being an agent is being able to champion writers and partner with them to bring their vision to life. Ashley is actively seeking manuscripts in Adult, YA, and MG fiction. She is particularly drawn to books that showcase a strong commercial appeal combined with literary writing. Her tastes are broad, encompassing genres like romance, horror, and contemporary fantasy. However, she has a soft spot for stories that break genre boundaries, especially those that incorporate speculative elements or deliver unexpected twists to familiar genre structures. Ultimately, Ashley is looking for stories that are both engaging and thought-provoking, offering readers a truly immersive and memorable reading experience.
